Meet Lauren - Flute, Piano, Voice, & Songwriting Teacher

Lauren is a flautist, singer, pianist, and composer/lyricist from Chicago, Illinois with a degree in Flute Performance and Psychology from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University-Bloomington. Her background is in classical, pop, and musical theatre. Her two shows, UNHINGED and Lovedly, were self-produced in Bloomington, Indiana. She has taught piano, flute, voice, and music theory, and her students range in age from 7 to 50. She uses her background in psychology to cater to all learning styles alongside personal musical tastes. She believes that music can enrich anyone’s life at any stage, and focuses on a habit-based approach to learning to encourage strong music reading skills, ear training, and theory, ingraining musical skills to have for life.
