Meet Brianna - Voice and Piano Teacher

Brianna is a singer-songwriter, vocalist, composer and educator born and raised in Los Angeles. She is both known as a jazz-influenced soul artist, and a jazz vocalist. Brianna started creating music on the piano at the age of 6 and writing songs with lyrics at 10. As a performer in LA, she has sung in such diverse settings as Disney Concert Hall, Ahmanson Theater, House of Blues, Hotel Cafe, The Mint, and the Federal Bar in North Hollywood.

She received a Bachelor’s of Music in Commercial Music with emphasis in composing and arranging at Azusa Pacific University, where she harbored a deep love for the process of producing records, collaborating with other musicians and crafting entrepreneurial ventures. In 2013, during her first year in college, she sung lead vocals with The Monterey Jazz Festival’s Next Generation Jazz Orchestra and toured the East Coast, performing at venues such as the Montreal Jazz Festival Main Stage. In 2018, she self-released her first EP of original music, “Red Skies” and is currently in production for a group of singles for her solo artist project, “Brianna Ibarra”.

After she released the EP, she embarked on a West Coast tour supporting the indie artist “Jessica Gerhardt”, as a multi-instrumentalist in her acoustic band and as an opener. The tour stretched from southern California starting at the Hotel Cafe and up to Portland, OR and back. Currently, Brianna performs all over Southern California as a solo artist, a background vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist. As an educator, she specializes in teaching pop, jazz, and musical theater voice and in helping students have a foundation of good vocal practices while helping them find their unique creative voice.
