Meet Josh - Guitar Teacher

Josh Ryan is the lead guitarist, songwriter and producer for the group Eyes Anew. He is also the owner and head producer at Jambrosia Music Studios in the Daybreak area of South Jordan. Josh grew up in Southern California and started playing piano at the age of 4 and listening to Michael Jackson. At age 10, Josh was mesmerized by bands like Guns N Roses & Metallica and picked up the guitar immediately and has been exploring the guitar possibilities ever since.

Throughout his teens and 20's Josh played in rock and metal bands and performed throughout the area at places such as: The world famous Whiskey A Go-Go, the Roxy & The Galaxy Theater.

Later, Josh became interested in other genres of music such as: Jazz, Folk, Classical, Funk and Pop and began composing in those other genres.

At Berklee College of Music, Josh has studied: Jazz Guitar Improv, Songwriting, Music Production, Music Theory, Lyric Writing, Harmony and Vocal Production.

Josh was the assistant producer to the head producer at East West Studios in San Diego. He currently composes music for the tv/film and commercial industry.

Josh specializes in teaching guitar in a fun and unique way, grounded in fun exercises,variety of songs and styles, improv, music theory, blues style solos and learning the fretboard like the back of your hand.
