Meet Daniel - Piano & Guitar Teacher

I’m glad you’re here! My name is Daniel–I'm an experienced musician currently located in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle. My journey with music started with guitar lessons at 8 years old, and soon expanded to piano and drums. In high school, I played 4 years of jazz guitar in the school ensemble and started producing for local artists. Near the end of college I began working with the highly-sought after songwriter and producer Dan Wilson, whose credits include ‘Closing Time’ (Semisonic) and ‘Someone Like You’ (Adele). While working with Dan Wilson in his studio, I contributed to a variety of notable records, including receiving credit on songs by Taylor Swift and Celine Dione.

While l do not have formal university-level music education, I bring many years of experience on my instruments (guitar and piano), and am confident in teaching beginner students. My hope for the students I get to work with is that they leave every lesson excited about their instrument, and envisioned for what is possible when they put in the time to learn.

My desire is to work with each student to craft a custom roadmap that is tailored to their individual learning goals. That said, I believe the skillsets I bring to the table are well suited for students interested in topics such as music theory foundations, chord theory, ear training, rhythm, and performing popular music.
