Meet Yusi - Piano Teacher

Yusi has a master of music theory and composition at New York University. She has been teaching since 2013 and has experience with various age groups and musical genres (classical, pop, Jazz, Broadway). She is passionate about teaching children and has vast experience with early childhood music education.

She is especially skilled at developing a personalized repertoire for each student based on their level and interests; these could include music theory, ear training, and public performance skills. She works with each student to arrange songs that they would be enthusiastic about in order to develop joyful practicing habits.

Between working as a film score/game music composer and speaking fluent English and Chinese, Yusi has an exceptional ability to improve nuanced hearing and sound appreciation. She values diversity and has a kind, warm, and focused teaching style.
