Meet Mackenzie - Voice Teacher

Mackenzie first fell in love with music at age three after her first solo in church choir. As a teenager, she took both piano and guitar lessons to learn how to write music for the songs she wrote and has been playing both instruments for over ten years. Since she started singing, she has won several awards in singing competitions, sung in multiple church choirs, and worked for two years as a vocal worship leader in Maple Valley.

Mackenzie has participated in several musicals over the years and was part of the Green River College Vocal Jazz Choir in 2017 and 2018. Mackenzie has been performing her original music at restaurants, bars, and other venues all over the world since she was fourteen. Most notably, she recently performed at the world-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, UK.

Mackenzie has a Bachelor of Arts in Songwriting and Vocal Performance from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where she studied for three years. While in Liverpool, she studied many different vocal and performance techniques, and is proficient in Musical Theatre and Jazz vocals with a concentration in Pop vocals. She spent most of her free time writing new music and performing at venues across the city with her band. Live performance is a huge part of her life and career but is only a small part of her passion for music.

One of her life-long goals is to share the gift of music with others, especially children. She aims to help build a passion for music in each one of her students by meeting them where they are and working with them through their favorite songs. She will focus on making each and every lesson interesting, engaging, and fun, but with also do her best to challenge her students in their technique and confidence.
